Alphonse “Al” Greenleaf, age 65, of the Kingfisher Clan and Duluth, Minnesota journeyed to the spirit world on Friday, January 5, 2018 from Duluth, MN.  He was born in Red Lake, MN on November 27, 1952, the son of Emma (Gibbs) and Peter Greenleaf, Sr.

The family that Al joins are his parents, Emma and Peter Greenleaf, sisters; Elizabeth, Elenor, Marcella, and Lavonne, brothers; Ralph, Peter Jr., Lance, Lars and Terry, and his grandparents.

Al leaves behind his sister; Avanell Greenleaf of Red Lake, brother; Ervin “EJ” Greenleaf of Detroit Lakes, nephews, nieces and many friends.

Funeral services for Al will be held at the Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah, MN on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 3:00 p.m.  Arnold Kingbird, Sr. will be his Spiritual Advisor.  Pallbearers for Al will be Gary Greenleaf, Leland Whitefeather, Ronald Longclaws, Gilbert Rosebear, Brian Rosebear and Billy Wilson.  Alternate pallbearers will be Richard Butcher, Aaron Weitzel, Allen Weitzel and Wesley Cloud.  Interment will be in the Greenleaf Family Burial Grounds following his funeral services.
