Brandi Lynn Shank, age 25, of Cass Lake, Minnesota passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 12, 2017.  She was born on April 21, 1992 in Bemidji, MN to Theresa Pemberton and Roger Strong, Sr.

Brandi graduated from Cass Lake High School in 2010 and attended college at NDSU.  She later moved to Williston, ND where she was employed as a Supervisor at Economart Foods.  While in Williston, Brandi met Dylan, and they enjoyed traveling and experiencing life to the fullest, including skydiving.  Together they had a beautiful daughter, Zoe.  She moved back to Minnesota and in September 2017 she gave birth to her daughter Breylynn.

Although small in stature, she was large at heart.  She loved her family dearly, especially Roger, Jr., and they were the best of friends.  Brandi made sure to make it to all family events and gatherings – offering her help, advice, opinions and her contagious laughter.  Her quick wit and feisty attitude was sure to get your attention.  Brandi loved to read and always had an array of books.  She had a desire to become a cook and shared her trial and error recipes with her family.  Brandi’s beautiful soul, huge heart and infectious smile will never be forgotten.

Brandi was welcomed home by her brother; Roger Strong, Jr., cousins; Manda Laine and LeRoy III, grandparents; LeRoy and Estelle Pemberton and Bunky and Agatha Strong, aunts; Sandra and Rhonda.

She will be dearly missed by her daughter; Zoe of Ironwood, Michigan, her daughter; Breylynn of Redby, her mom and stepdad; Terri Pemberton and Rich Benjamin of Cass Lake, her dad; Roger Strong, Sr. of Redby, sister; Tashia Strong of Redby and brother; Dylan Strong of Bemidji, god parents; aunt Shawn and uncle “Beek”, numerous aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

A funeral mass for Brandi will begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 17, 2017 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cass Lake, MN.  A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening, November 16, also being held at the church.  Father Timothy Lange will officiate.  Pallbearers for Brandi will be Mindy Utley, Cortney Pemberton, Madison Ellis, Alissa Donnell, Janeen Donnell, Corey Pemberton, Jerick Pemberton, Joseph Pemberton.  Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery at Cass Lake, MN following her Friday mass.
