Carolee “Carol” Felton, age 79, of Hackensack passed away in Walker on August 8, 2017.  Carol was born on June 4, 1938 in Brimfield, Illinois, the daughter of Leland and Caroline (Blundy) Pacey.

Carol grew up and attended high school in Brimfield, Illinois.   In high school, she was very involved in GAA, FHA, Girls Chorus and Band.  She then met the love of her life, Bill Felton, and they were married in Brimfield, Illinois in 1960.  She worked at Allstate Insurance Agency in Peoria, IL until she and Bill decided to move to Hackensack, MN in 1973 when they purchased Bayview Resort. 

For Carol, family always came first and what she enjoyed most was spending time with them.  Carol always looked forward to spring as it meant that summer was right around the corner and the resort would soon open.  Summers were her favorite as she enjoyed visiting with her family, friends and those who vacationed at their resort. During the less busy times at the resort, she worked many part-time jobs in the Hackensack area, which allowed for her to get out of the house and be around people.  She especially enjoyed working at Mark’s Market.  Some of her other great passions included baking, planting flowers, reading books and pontoon rides. Carol was a member of Union Congregational Church in Hackensack and loved playing bells in their Bell Choir.

Carol has been reunited with her husband Bill Felton, parents; Leland and Caroline Pacey; her son; Tony; Sister; Frances Krey; Brother; Harold Pacey; and other relatives.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons; Scott and John (Kelly) Felton both of Hackensack, daughter; Janice Pfarr of Hackensack, her brother; Bob (Betty) Pacey, of Brimfield, IL, her sister; Jane (Grady) Fish of Bossier City, LA., her grandchildren; Brandon and Breanna Pfarr and Logan and Everly Felton, and great grandchild; Mia Pfarr.

Funeral services for Carol will be held at Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker, 114 Tianna Drive, at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, August 14, 2017 with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m.  Pastor Lynn Strandt will officiate.
