Charles Ace Frazer passed away on January 2, 2018 at Sanford Hospital in Bemidji.  Charles was born in Cass Lake, Minnesota, on September 1, 1940 to Harvey and Amelia (Carpenter) Frazer.

Charles lived in Cass Lake all his life except when he was stationed in Japan for about a year while in the U.S. Army.  He married Donna (Clark) and had two children, Patty and Steven, both of Cass Lake.  They later divorced.  Charles worked as a carpenter most of his life until he retired.  He worked with his two brothers, a nephew and Ed Larson years ago.  Charles worked in a number of positions over the years for Leech Lake Reservation, retiring from Housing when he was 65.  He enjoyed fixing things and was very efficient and knowledgeable in his trade.  Over the years he enjoyed baking, canning, deer hunting, picking berries, gardening and tinkering with things. He used to share the bounty of his gardening efforts with family.   He was always fixing things, even through his long illness.  Charles enjoyed spending time with his family, children, grandchildren and several great nieces and nephews.  Charles also liked spending time playing poker at the casino and catching up with his brothers, sisters and their families when possible.  Charles was caretaker for Harvey and Amelia until they passed, he was a very caring man.  He would give you the shirt off his back and his last penny if you needed it.  He still cared for family up until he passed.  Charles lived for many years in Croakerville, and family there often checked in on him, including Ricky, Barb, Linda and his special niece Jenny.

Charles is survived by this children; Patty Frazer, Steve (Anita) Frazer, and Nicole (Jeff) Goose,  all of Cass Lake, his grandchildren;  Brock Frazer, Steve (Raejah) Frazer, Blaze Sayers-Clark, Hazel Goose, Trey Goose, Jeffrey Goose, and Mya Goose, all of Cass Lake,  his ex-wife; Donna Frazer, also of Cass Lake, sisters; Myrtle Woods of Oklee, MN, Norma McMurrin of Walker, Beverly Wright of Columbia Falls, MT, Joyce (Danny) Morris, and Sandra (Ernie) Ryan of Cass Lake, Brothers; Earl (Diane) Frazer of Thief River Falls, Carl (Kathy) Frazer of Onigum, Robert Frazer of Burnsville, and Mike (Judy) Frazer of Sauk Rapids, MN, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents; Charles and Ida Frazer, Frank and Elizabeth Carpenter, brothers; Harvey, Jr., James and Eugene, sisters; Louis, Denise and Shirley, his father and mother in law; Edward and Loretta Clark, and various nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation for Charles will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 8, 2018 and will continue until the 1:00 p.m. service.  All will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Bemidji Minnesota.  Bishop Habedank and Brother Nyberg will officiate.  Pallbearers for Charles will be, Steve Frazer, Brock Frazer, Logan Town, Jeff Goose, Dan Morris, Jr., and Kevin VanDyck.    Honorary pallbearers will be Nicole Goose, Ken Clark, Jennifer Croaker, David Jones, and Rick Croaker.  Inurnment will be held in the Pine Grove Cemetery at Cass Lake, Minnesota, in the spring.
