Diane Marie (Andrews) Bach

Diane Marie Bach, age 74, of Walker, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Nielson Place in Bemidji.  She was born in Walker on February 15, 1943 the daughter of Robert and Elsie (Rydgren) Andrews. 

Diane was raised in her beloved Walker and graduated from Walker High School in 1961.  Following school, she moved to the cities and took a position with Honeywell where she would meet her future husband Greg.  The two were united in marriage in Walker in 1964 and would move back to Walker in the late 80’s.  Diane started working for the Pilot Independent following her return.  When she wasn’t working, Diane would spend every moment possible at the lake cabin and she would always have someone out to visit her.  Diane loved being with her grandchildren and enjoyed spoiling them whenever she got the chance.  She enjoyed cooking, reading books, being a member of the Walker American Legion Auxiliary and the Red Hatters.  Diane always made everyone feel loved and important.  If anyone needed someone to talk to, you could call and talk to Diane.  She loved the phone.  In the past years she has struggled with health issues.  Being the fighter that Diane was, she was always able to overcome her trials.  She will be sadly missed by her family and all the community that knew her.

The family that Diane joins again are her parents; Robert and Elsie, husband; Greg Bach, great grandson; Owen and numerous other relatives

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her daughter; Kimberly Bach-Schlagel of Walker, brother; Bob Andrews and family, grandchildren; Riley, Ryder, Reggi and Rowyn, great grandchildren; Tayden and another future great granddaughter.

A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Hope Lutheran Church in Walker.  Pastor Matt McWaters will officiate.  Inurnment will be held at Evergreen cemetery later in the spring.
