Duane Charles Feather

Duane Charles Feather, from the Bear Clan, 56 years old, of Pillager, Minnesota began his spiritual journey on Friday, February 2, 2018 from his residence in Pillager. MN.  Duane was born on February 8, 1961 in Red Lake, MN to Geraldine Yellow and Melvin Feather, Sr.

Duane liked to watch wrestling and movies in his spare time.  He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews, going to bingo and to the casino.  Duane loved to eat, he was not picky about what he ate, he just loved to eat.  One of Duane’s favorite things to do was to dance with his Dad in the pow-wows. 

Family that Duane is reunited with are his parents; Geraldine and Melvin Sr., brothers; Doug and Darrell Feather and several nieces and nephews.

Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory are his brother; Melvin Feather, Jr. of Red Lake, sisters; Carolyn (Ivan) Feather and Delores Yellow both of Minneapolis, many other relatives and friends.

A wake for Duane will begin at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 10, 2018 and continue until his funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12 all being held at the Old Little Rock Community Center in Red Lake, MN.  Father Jerry Rogers will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Steve Brown, Ryan Feather, Melvin Feather III, Michael Barrett, David Barrett and Dominic Yellow.  His honorary pallbearers are all his nieces and nephews.  Interment will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery at Red Lake, MN following his Monday services.
