Earl Douglas Bailey, age 82, of Red Lake, Minnesota passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Sanford Hospital in Bemidji, Minnesota. He was born in Red Lake, Minnesota on April 25, 1935 to John and Doris Bailey.

Earl was raised and attended school in Red Lake. He served in the United States Navy from 1954 to 1958. After his discharge, Earl and his family moved to California in the early 1960’s where he worked as a heavy equipment operator at the gold mine. After retiring, they moved back to Red Lake in 1998 where he lived until his passing.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents; John and Doris Bailey.

He is survived by his daughters; Sandy (Victor) Bailey of Maui, Hawaii, Debbie (Charlie) Dustin of Idaho and Heidi Bailey of Oahu, Hawaii, brothers; Al Bailey of Red Lake and Richard (Bev) Bailey of Bemidji and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Earl will begin at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 5, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Red Lake, Minnesota. There will be a one hour visitation prior to services on Monday also at the church. Father Jerry Rogers will officiate. Pallbearers for Earl are Greg Bailey, J.R. Bailey, Corey Bailey, Sheldon Bailey, Jerry Bailey and Larry Dudley. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Bemidji, Minnesota.
