Edward Dale Cloud, 51 years old, journeyed to the spirit world on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from Madison, Wisconsin.  He was born in Red Lake, Minnesota on December 27, 1965 to Charles and Violet (Kingbird) Cloud.

Edward was a loving father, an awesome son, grandpa, uncle, brother, and friend. He has always been a hard-working man. He enjoyed working in the woods with his brother and nephews. Everyone who met him enjoyed his sense of humor. Edward loved to be on the pow-wow trail. He also enjoyed ice fishing, winning big at the casino, and visiting with his family and friends. One of his favorite things to do was spending time with his granddaughters. He would enjoy being able to have full conversations in his language. He would help anyone in need, and was always there for his family and friends. One way or another he would always be there for his daughters, granddaughters, special niece and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all his close family members, friends, and all who knew him.

Family that Edward joins again are his five infant children, father; Charles Cloud, brothers; Arthur, Theodore, Fudd and Bugsy Cloud, grandson; Makoonz Rosebear, an infant grandchild, other family members and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother; Violet Cloud of Park Rapids, daughters; Sara (Fabian), Tara and Kara Cloud all of Wisconsin Dells, WI, son; Alan (Gladys) Walker of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, brother; Kenneth (Carlene) Cloud of Fergus Falls, sisters; Freda Cloud of Ponemah and Doris (William) Clark of Battle River, granddaughters; Morgan and Lilian Cloud, nieces; Nikki Johnson, Kayla Jones and Selena Clark, nephews; Timothy and Travis Jones, Chris, Brian and Terrence French, many more relatives and friends too many to list.

A wake for Edward will begin at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 9th and continue until his 11:00 a.m. traditional service on Friday, August 11th all being held at the Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah, MN.  Zac Earley will be his Spiritual Advisor and Ben Bonga will be the Assistant Advisor.  Pallbearers for Edward will be Terrence French, Christopher French, Timothy Jones, Travis Jones, Fabian Rosebear and Brian French.  Alternate pallbearers will be Teochen Cloud and Tajahn Cloud.  His honorary pallbearers are all his brothers and sisters and all his nieces and nephews.  Interment will be in the Family Burial Grounds at Ponemah following his service.
