Our sympathies to all.
We are unable to attend the memorial service due to a prior engagement. Your folks were good friends of my folks~ our dads spent many hrs/days chasing fish together, as they 'solved the world problems' along the way~ :)
We will take your suggestions of memorials to heart~
Again, our sympathies,
Pastor John and Cindy Dainsberg

Dale and I are very sorry to hear of Joe's passing.  We send our sympathy and prayers.  Joe told me once you named your daughter, Sharon, after me.  I was interested to see that she also married a Dale.  I believe he was the one my Dale ran into in Overland Park, in a motel parking lot just before he retired.  He noticed the Crawford Co. license and came over and told Dale that his in-laws used to live in Denison and that his father-in-law was Joe Vaage.  My husband then told him that I worked at the bank for several years and was Joe's secretary.  Our deepest sympathy.

Kevin, Karon, Chris, and the rest of your family.  Am very sorry to hear of your father's passing from his earthly family.  However, we rejoice with you that he is now casting crowns at our Savior's feet.  Might even be holding our little Emmett and entertaining him.  What a great reunion.  He rejoices when He calls one of His loved ones home to be with Him.  AND He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds for those of us left here on earth.  Our love and sympathy, Tony and Juanita

So sorry to hear about the loss of Joe. We had many good years of fishing and fun with him. Sending prayers to the family. Our best memories was every time we pulled in the marina from fishing Joe would come out to our boat to see our catch. We will think of him often while we fish Leech Lake and always.
