Larry Marlin Hanson

Larry Marlin Hanson, 76 of Solway, Minnesota passed away on February 13, 2018 at his home.

Larry was born in Bagley, Minnesota to Ella and Louis Hanson on May 12th, 1941. He attended Shevlin Elementary School. He married LaVonne McPhee and then they later divorced. On March 28,1987 he married Ila O’Brien in Grandin, N.D. Most of his life Larry worked as a sheet metal worker for several different companies. He enjoyed wood working, crafts, fishing, hunting, cutting out grandma’s quilt squares, and picking on people! He had a wonderful sense of humor! He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, one brother-in-law, his step-father, and a granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife; Ila Hanson, children; Steve (Stephanie) Hanson, Scott (Heidi) Hanson, Keith Hanson, Kevin (Lynette) Hanson all of North Dakota. Jeff (Alicia) Hanson of South Dakota. Marlin (Laurie) Hanson, Curt (Cindy) Julin, Denis Newland, Stanley (Monica) O’Brien, Harold (Rhonda) O’Brien, Tammy (Lester) Edeleman all of Minnesota.  Adopted kids Dan Etclik of Debs, Minnesota. TeeAnna Anderson of Washington.  Brothers; Donny (Shelia) Hanson of Wisconsin, sister; JoAnne Steindl of Bagley, Minnesota.  Special granddaughter Jessica Ewert.  Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A funeral service for Larry will be held Tuesday, February 20th at 1:00 p. m. with visitation one hour prior to the service at Grace Community Church in Bagley, MN.  Pastor Brad Spaulding will be officiating.  Zach Newland will be the urn bearer.
