Remembering the life of an AMAZING Woman...

Rebecca Lynn Fure (Olson/Rustand) was born to Norman and Janice (Miller) Rustand in Elbow Lake, Minnesota on April 18, 1962. She graduated from Elbow Lake and went to Fashion Design School in Minneapolis until she married William (Bill) Olson. They raised three children (Jennifer, Christina and Joseph) in Bemidji, Minnesota in the country where she loved to sit on the deck in the sun, read her books and mow the lawn, which she thought very relaxing. She spent time with her children baking cookies, reading books in bed and teaching them God's love. She loved long walks, rollerblading and family time at Bemidji State Park having picnics and swimming. She spent much time in the hospital by her husband and son's side while they were fighting cancer. After Bill passed away (1999) she went back to school to be a massage therapist, and then an LPN.

In 2007 she met Doug Fure. They married in 2012, at one of her favorite spots in the world--the beach. She moved to Walker, MN with her husband and learned yet another trade: resort owner and operator. She was then able to enjoy traveling during the winter months, something she had always wanted to do. She and Doug RVed throughout the country to destinations like Florida and Arizona and also spent time in Mexico and Belize. It was a dream come true.

In February of this year she found out she had lung cancer. After bravely enduring several different treatments that didn't stop the growth, she took her last breath at home surrounded by her three children, husband and her little   shadow--Vincent the min-pin.

Becky is described as dedicated, kind, hard-working and self-less. She will be greatly missed and loved forever.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents; Norman and Janice Rustand and her first husband; William Olson.

She leaves behind her husband; Doug Fure of Walker, her children; Jennifer Olson of Two Harbors, Christina Olson of Walker and Joseph (Jeannette) Olson of Neenah, WI, brothers; Jeff and Glen (Maggie) Rustand both of Alexandria, sisters; Tammy Rustand of Bemidji and Susan (Dave) Burggraff of St. Cloud, three grandchildren; Francis, Gabe and Gloria, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services for Becky will begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 20, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 297 Hwy 55, Wendell, MN.  Pastor Darrel Lindensmith will officiate.  Two visitations are planned, one at Northern Peace Funeral Home, 114 Tianna Drive, Walker, MN on Wednesday, October 18th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and the other will be an hour prior to services on Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wendell, MN.  Interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at Wendell, MN following her services.
