Ronald Dale Fowler

Ronald Dale Fowler, age 73, of Redby, MN, began his spiritual journey on February 8, 2018 at the Sanford Hospital in Bemidji.  He was born in East Grand Forks, MN on May 14, 1944 the son of Glen and Hazel Fowler. 

Ron was the second oldest of 17 siblings.  His siblings would describe Ron as being their protector because he saved his sisters life twice and his brothers life once when they were young.  Ron graduated high school in Mandan, ND with a trade in welding.  He met and married his soul mate and the love of his life Joyce in 1971.  They started their life together in Minneapolis and later moved to Redby.  They also moved to Babbitt, MN where Ron worked as a welder for the Reserve Mining Company for many years, until the mine shut down.  Ron moved his family back to Minneapolis where he took a position for the city as a heavy equipment operator.  He also owned his own taxi and would work for the Blue and White Taxi Company.  Ron and Joyce moved back up north where they both worked for the Thief River Falls Casino for over 20 years.  Ron was a very hard worker, an excellent husband, provider, a loving and caring dad, the greatest grandpa any grandchild could have.  Ron helped to raise six of his grandchildren.  His pride and joy were his great grandchildren.  There are no words to describe how much Ron loved his entire family and friends.  At the end of the day all his hard work was worth it for his loving family which meant the world to him.  Ron’s kind-hearted soul will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

The family that Ron joins again are his parents; Glen and Hazel Fowler, brother; Gary Fowler, brother in-laws; William and Roman Beaulieu, Jr. and one son in-law; Edward Maxwell. 

Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife; Joyce Fowler of Redby, children; Kevin (Gwen) Beaulieu of Thief River Falls, twin sons; Tom and Todd Radke of Portland, OR, son; Gerald Needham of Redby, daughters; Ramona (Edward) Maxwell and Dannette Needham both of Redby, son; Franklin (Beth) Beaulieu of Red Lake, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

A celebration of life for Ron will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Redby Community Center in Redby.
