Baby Chaske Gordon

Baby Chaske’ Gordon, “Mahto Cinca” which means “Bear Child” was born and taken into the hands of the Creator on February 23, 2019 at Sanford Hospital in Bemidji, Minnesota.  He is the son of Kelly Williams and William “Billy” Gordon.

We want you to know, how excited we were just to hold you in our arms, protect and serve. But you chose to meet us early, our eldest son, so you will provide strength for many years to come.                                                    We love you our son…….

Baby Chaske’ is welcomed to the spirit world by his grandma; Louise Shelley, auntie Kathy Jo Gordon, great grandpa; George Earth and many more relatives.

He leaves behind his parents; Kelly Williams and William “Billy” Gordon, grandma; Lisa Gordon, grandpas; Damascus “Troy” Williams and William “Bim” Frank Gordon, great grandma Moose, aunties; Ashley and Cordelia Williams, Jackie Brown, Kayla, Gerri, Charlotte and Jessica Gordon, uncles; David Waybenais and Kyle, Jacob, Brandon, John and Dakota Gordon, lots of cousins and other family members.

An overnight wake for Baby Chaske’ will begin at 5:00 p.m., Friday, March 1st and continue until 10:00 a.m. traditional service on Saturday, March 2nd all to be held at the Mission Community Center in Cass Lake, MN.  Waa-maajaa’iwed will be his Spiritual Advisor.  Pallbearers for Baby Chaske’ will be his uncles David Waybenais and Kyle Gordon.  His honorary pallbearers are Damascus Williams, Cordelia Williams, Ashley Williams, Geraldine Gordon and Kayla Gordon.  Interment will be in the Windom Burial Grounds at Pennington, MN following his services.
