Betteye Johnson Obituary

Betteye Mae (Taylor) Johnson, age 73, formerly of Remer, MN, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018, at Grand Itasca Hospital in Grand Rapids, MN.

Betteye was born on November 9, 1945, in Robinsdale, MN, the daughter of the late Albert and Rose (Schon) Taylor, Sr.  She grew up in the Twin Cities and moved to Remer, MN, when she was 10 years old and attended Remer High School.  She married Ronnie Johnson and they made their home in Remer, MN.  She was a stay at home mom and worked occasionally as a waitress until the kids were through with high school.  She married Floyd Johnson and enjoyed accompanying him all over the US with his trucking business until his retirement.  In her free time Betteye enjoyed being outdoors and hunting with Floyd but fishing was her life long obsession. Whenever she could she loved to stop to even catch some pan fish for dinner.  She also enjoyed cooking, bingo, flower arranging, and especially spending time with her family and friends.

Betteye is survived by her daughter; Pamela Johnson of Walker, MN, sons; Tim Johnson of Denton, TX, and Jeff Johnson of Remer, MN, 6 grandchildren, Jess, Megan, Zachary, Allan, Ashtin, and Arica; brothers, Nickie (Mary Jo) Taylor and Albert “Butch” (Cheryl) Taylor, Jr.; and sisters, Roberta (Myr) Archer and Ann (Mel) Freimuth and special friend; Skip.
