Carolyn "Carrie" Bellanger Obituary

Carolyn “Carrie” Ida Bellanger, age 54, of Minneapolis, Minnesota began her journey to the spirit world from her home on February 4, 2018.  Carrie was born in Red Lake, MN on December 14, 1963 the daughter of Ardelle and Antoine Bellanger, Sr.

Carrie was a fun-loving sister, she always had a wonderful sense of humor and a great personality.  She always made sure to check in with her sister Diane to let her know she was doing alright, no matter what time of the day it was.  Carrie liked to be on Facebook with her family and friends.  Even tough her children where miles away, she was a very loving and caring mother to them.  Carrie would come home to Red Lake from time to time just to visit her family, she especially loved hanging out with her sisters Diane, Anita and Judy and all her nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much.  She enjoyed going to the Mystic Lake, Red Lake and River Road Casinos to play Cleopatra.  Her presence in our lives will be sadly missed by us all.

Family that welcome Carrie to the spirit world are her parents; Ardelle and Antoine Bellanger, Sr., her daughter; Violet Jackson, one grandson, nephews; Quentin Benais, Joshua Bellanger, great niece; Tashiela Greenleaf and great nephew; Daryl Bellanger.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters; Yvette, Lavonne, Miranda and Lorena Bellanger and Valerie Dodge all of Duluth, son; Ronnie Bellanger of Duluth, sisters; Charlys May, Marie Bellanger, Diane (Robin) Lussier, Judy (Dallas) Bellanger, Anita (Hadi Bozorgzedah) Bellanger and Victoria White, brothers; Donald, Antoine Jr. and Steven Bellanger and Sam White, aunties; Muriel Dickenson, Sherleen and Ardella Blue and Lorraine Bellanger, uncles; Gerald Dickenson, Daniel, Joseph “Tiny” and Arthur Bellanger and Melvin Jourdain; special granddaughters;  Lena and Victoria Bellanger, several more grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

A wake for Carrie will begin at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, February 8th and continue until her traditional service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 10th all being held at the Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake, MN.  Steve Jackson will be her Spiritual Advisor.  Pallbearers for Carrie are Tony Bellanger, Ivan Lussier, John Sigana, Jacob Bellanger, Brian Bellanger, Trevor Bellanger, Bobby Benais, Jr. and Sam White.  Her honorary pallbearers are Yvette Bellanger, Judy Bellanger, Willie Strong, Shirley Willey, Charlys May and Victoria May.  Interment will be in the Bellanger Family Burial Grounds at Redby, MN following her service.
