Cheryl Ann Strong

April 20th, 1962 ~ October 24th, 2017

Cheryl "Choppy" Strong, Age 55, of Red Lake, MN began her journey to the spirit world on Tuesday, Oct. 24th, 2017 from St Luke's Hospital in Duluth, MN. She was born in Red Lake, MN on April 20th, 1962. The daughter of Margaret "Muggs" Needham and Donald Needham.

She worked as the regalia instructor at Red Lake Urban Office, and also did CNA work at Heritage Haven for a number of years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids, going to the casino, listening to music.

The family Cheryl joins are her parents; Margaret (Muggs) Needham & Donald Needham, Sr. sister; Ramona (Bunny) Strong, grandparents; Burton Strong & Mary Strong, daughter; Sharae Nicole Strong

Cheryl leaves behind her partner of 32+ years Arnold White, her children; Darren (Roxy) Strong, Sr., Dionne (Nate) Strong, Ralph White and Celeste White, brother; Donald Needham, Jr., sisters; Missy Needham and Vickie Needham. grandkids; Cearra, Darren Jr, Savanna, Michael, Damien, Angel, Xzavier, Aliza, Jahciah, Karia, Roland and numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & many friends. 

A wake for Cheryl will begin at 12:00 p.m., Saturday October 28th and continue until her traditional service at 9:00 a.m., Monday, October 30th all being held at the New Redby Community Center.  Allen Hardy will be her Spiritual Advisor.  Pallbearers will be Darren Strong, Sr., Ralph White, Greg Strong, Michael Needham, Jerry White, Jr., Curtis Jourdain, Jr., Roy White, Sr., and Ron Brun. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Needham, Jr., Rose Cournoyer, Roxy Graves, Junior Cournoyer, Harlan Strong, Peggy Kingbird, Angela Chaboyea, & Lisa Brun.  Interment will be in the Needham Family Burial Grounds following her Monday service.
