Daniel Alan Johnson

Daniel Alan Johnson, 23 years young, journeyed to the spirit world unexpectedly on Monday, August 12th, 2019 from his home in Red Lake, Minnesota.  He was born in Fergus Falls, MN on December 9, 1995 to Rose Marweg and David Johnson.

Daniel grew up and went to school in Fergus Falls for most of his childhood, then moved to Red Lake, MN.  He enjoyed playing video games, gambling and listening to music while he cruised around with his friends, who he was fiercely loyal to.  Daniel’s quick wit, amazing smile and love of joking around made him well liked by many.  He was a wonderful uncle who was always checking in on his nieces and nephews.  But first and foremost, were his father and siblings.  He made sure they were always taken care of, putting their needs before his own.  Daniel’s mother, Rose, was also constantly on his mind.  He missed her wholeheartedly and now they walk their path together.  

He is welcomed to the spirit world by his mother Rose Marie Marweg; grandmothers, Elva Cadwell and Darlene Needham; grandfather, Charles Joseph Johnson, Sr.; great grandparents, Margaret Rose and Elmer Robert Lussier, Sr.; uncles, Charles Joseph Johnson, Jr. and Wayne Lee Lussier, Sr. and cousin, Beverly Brumley.

Family that he leaves behind to cherish his memory are his father, David Johnson of Red Lake; brother, Dylan Johnson of Red Lake; sisters, Lisha Johnson of Red Lake and Davelle Johnson of Grand Portage; grandma Bobbie Lussier; special aunt, Michelle Reynolds, numerous aunties, uncles, cousins and too many friends to name.

Wake services for Daniel will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 17th and continue until his 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Monday, August 19th all to be held at the New Little Rock Community Center in Red Lake, MN.  Father Jerry Rogers will officiate.  Daniel’s pallbearers are Jordan Drouillard, Justin Spears, Mike Lajeunesse, George Graves, Dave Jourdain, Del English, Sr., Jeris Beaulieu, Brandon Fairbanks, Lukus Rudolph and Logan Rudolph.  Alternate pallbearers are Dylan Johnson and Eddie Fairbanks.  His honorary pallbearers are Chad Reynolds, Rod Spears, Sr., Kristie Lussier, Tyra Schoenborn, Marlena Mondragon, Shaleesa Johns, Tearra Lussier, Leah Cook-Lussier, Briana Barrett, Alyssa Roy, Micayla Reynolds, Kristi Fairbanks, Kaleisha Anderson, Ryan Thompson, Jason Wind, Tyson Sumner, OJ Spears, Robbie Beaulieu, Johnny Greene, Wade Goodrider and Brenton Reynolds.  Interment will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery at Red Lake, MN.
