Darci Renae Moran

Darci Renae Moran, 43, passed away peacefully August 5th 2019, at her home in Mahnomen, MN.

Darci Renae Moran was born April 5th 1976 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Dale and Lenore (Greene) Moran. She was raised and educated in Detroit Lakes, MN. She attended Rossman Elementary, Detroit Lakes Jr and Sr High School. She graduated Detroit Lakes High School in May of 1994. After school she moved to Bemidji, MN for a short time. Darci then went on to work at the Shooting Star Casino Hotel and Event Center. She then met Christopher Leslie and had a daughter, Jayden Rose Leslie. Darci had aspirations to continue her education and moved to Detroit Lakes and attended Minnesota State Technical College. That is where she completed the LPN program and went on to achieve her RN. Darci loved to read so studying for her was natural. Darci loved being a mother. She also had many personal attributes which made her such a great person to be around.  She was kind, understanding, wise and a very good listener. She enjoyed spending her time relaxing at the lake, reading, camping, listening to music, shopping and spending time with her friends and family.  She had many friends and was big believer in trust and loyalty.  Although her life may seem to be too short, she had helped and touched so many lives in many different ways. She was a blessing and it’s no wonder God wanted her back so soon.

Darci is survived by her mother, Lenore (Greene) Moran; father, Dale Moran; her daughter, Jayden Leslie; brother, Dean Villebrun, Dale Villebrun, Dewey Moran (Jill Andrews); aunt, Lila Holm; Uncles, Gorman Greene, John (Corrine) Bucholz, and Rodney (Judy) Greene.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Helmer & Rose Greene; Uncle, Berman Greene; Aunt, Thelma Beaupre, Mother-in-Law, Stella Leslie.

A Celebration of Life for Darci will be held Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 1:30 p.m., with a one-hour visitation prior to the service at the St Joseph’s Catholic Church, 2312 222nd Ave, Beaulieu, MN 56557. Father Dave Super will officiate. Urn Bearer for Darci will be LeeAnn Thorson. Her honorary Urn Bearers are, Missi Heitkamp, Libby Bucholz, Lindsey Shoemaker, Jethe Winter, Marlene Myhre, Jill Andrews, Anitra Walz.
