Darlene J. Thue
(Formerly Darlene Busse)
DARLENE J. THUE, age 79, of Walker, MN passed away February 18, 2019
She was born Darlene Jane Stroming on March 25, 1939 to Harry and Hazel Stroming in Minnesota Lake, Minnesota. Beloved wife of Ed Thue and long-time resident of Walker, Darlene was an active member of the community and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Darlene had many passions that brought her joy in life. Her green-thumb meant the home was always filled with beautiful flowers and her garden full of vegetables. A master around the kitchen, Darlene enjoyed making everything from scratch, including her family's favorite pies. Darlene enjoyed playing Bingo weekly and going to the Casino in hopes of hitting that next jackpot. She loved watching the many animals that would visit outside her home including deer, turkeys, and her favorite, cardinals. "When a cardinal appears in your yard, it's a visitor from heaven," she would say.
She is being reunited in Heaven with her Mom and Dad, her sisters Susie and Mary, and her long-time canine companion, Spotters. Left to honor Darlene and cherish her memories alongside her husband Ed are her sons Bruce and wife Linda, Mark and wife Barb with dog Chance, and Harley; grandson Kevin and wife Gina; great-grandson Giovanni; and sister Sandy.
A celebration of Darlene’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 4656 MN-Hwy 200, Walker, MN 56484.
