He made sure everyone around him was good before thinking of himself. He would have carried you on his back if he had to. Irv lived at home with his mother and father, who he cared for every day. Irv was a handyman and enjoyed fixing, or “rigging” as he would say, things around the house and for anyone who asked. He also played softball for the Red Lake Chiefs for many years. His nieces and nephews looked up to him, he enjoyed spending time with them and fixing their bikes. Irv had two very special girls, Ava and Ceigh, who called him “Daddy”. They were his world and he was their “Rock”. Everyone knew Irv for his kindness and humor. He was a New Years baby and always looked forward to celebrating his birthday. Irv’s heart was huge and yet he was fearless.
