Dear Bonnie and Jerry,
My heart aches for your family as you endure the sorrow of Jake's passing. Walt passed away going on two years ago in Oct. but I can't imagine the loss of one of my sons. As I remember you have a very faith-filled family and that's what will guide you through now! I am remembering them as young boys when you lived in back of us and always knew Jacob was athletically talented but did not know of all his special gifted talents and accomplishments until reading about them now. You have got to be bursting at the seams with pride in such a fine young man as Jacob. Rest assured that God has Jacob playing for Him now up in heaven! May he rest now in peace! My love and prayers go out to your family. God bless you!

Our prayers are with the Collins family as you mourn the loss of Jacob. I cannot imagine what you are going through right now. I have great memories of Jacob the math student, Jacob the young man at Faith Church and the Collins family. Blessings to you all.

I had the privilege to know Jacob during the past few years. Jacob was a very humble man. He respected everyone and was always putting other’s needs before his own. I was very impressed by his composed demeanor and Christ-like attributes. His example will truly be missed. What a great example of someone who made a positive contribution to society. My prayers are with his family during this trying time.

Vern and I were heart-broken to learn of Jacob's passing. Surely he is with the Lord and we will see him again soon, but in the meantime he will be sorely missed!! What an accomplished young man....who contributed so much to his family, his country and to humanity. I can't imagine the loss you must be experiencing at this time. Please know our prayers are with you and our hearts, too! We love you!

Dear Bonnie and Jerry,

I was thoroughly saddened by the news of Jacob's passing. Even though I hadn't been around him since his early childhood, he obviously was a talented and accomplished young man. You guys must be so proud of who he was and what he became. Despite being separated by the years and miles, I think of you often and still consider all of you as family. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers at this time.

With Love and Prayers,

Cory

Dear Friends,
There are no words to express our sorrow. We cannot begin to understand your pain and loss. We remember Jacob as a small boy in Sunday School. He and our son John were balls of energy then. What a fine young man he became. We know he has given you many wonderful memories to cherish. It is our prayer that you are able to enjoy these memories and that our prayers and the nearness of Jesus will grant you peace.
Your friends in Davenport,
Steve & Linda Garrington

I am so sorry to hear of Jake's passing. I think back on my teaching and coaching days in Austin and remember them quite fondly. I take pride in being part of the original soccer team at AHS that Jake was also part of. I often think about what came of some of those players and see from Jake's obituary that he had quite the life experiences after his high school days were over. I hope you can cherish the memories you have of him and can take some solace in knowing he did what appears to be some good things in the world.

Sincerely,

David Graham
