Joseph Allen Jones, Sr.

Joseph Allen Jones, Sr., 63, journeyed to the spirit world on Monday, November 11, 2019 from the Cass Lake IHS Hospital in Cass Lake, MN.  He was born on May 13th, 1956 in Cass Lake, MN to Doloras (Budreau) and Delmar Jones, Sr.

Joseph loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren; whom he loved with all his heart.  He enjoyed riding in his ranger, watching the Minnesota Vikings, listening to the radio and going to the casino.  His presence will be missed by many.

Family that welcome Joseph home are his parents, Doloras and Delmar; sister, Patti Sue Headbird-Wilson; brothers, George, Howard and Oren Jones; nieces, Amanda Holt-Headbird, Endonnis Baird and Stacy Jones, a grandchild and his grandparents.

He leaves behind his sons, Joseph Jones, Jr., Leland Jones, Josh, Allen and Spencer Fairbanks and Richard Beaulieu; daughters, Andrea and DeAnna Jones; brothers, Delmar (Doris) Jones, Jr., William “Bill” “Jolene) Jones and Leo “Barney” Jones; sisters, Julie (Terry) Jones and Carol Muller (Herschel); grandchildren, Joseph III, Chandler, Alahni, Ningozis, Hayden, Mark and Nindonis; the love of his life, Heidi Fairbanks; the mother of his children, Crystal, many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Wake services for Joseph will begin at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 14th and continue until his 1:00 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, November 16th all to be held at the Veteran’s Memoria Building in Cass Lake, MN.  Fathers Matthew Cobb and William Butcher will officiate.  Pallbearers for Joseph will be Derrick Harper, Terry Jones, William Headbird, Thomas Jones, Tyler Jones and Buddy Murray.  His honorary pallbearers are all his grandchildren and all his nieces and nephews.  Interment will be in the Prince of Peace Cemetery at Cass Lake, MN.
