Lawrence "Larry" Dean Hart, Jr.

Lawrence “Larry” Dean Hart, Jr., age 28, of the Bear Clan and of Cass Lake, Minnesota began his journey to the spirit world on Thursday, May 30th, 2019 from Minneapolis, MN.  Larry was born in Bemidji, MN on March 25th, 1991 to Nancy (Smith) and Lawrence Hart, Sr.

Larry grew up and attended school in Cass Lake, MN.  He was crowned Leech Lake Royalty in 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 and in 2004, Larry helped take the Cass Lake/Bena High School Basketball Team to the State Tournament.  Life had other ideas for Larry than school and ultimately, he obtained his GED.  Larry was always joking around and having a good time.  He loved to make people laugh.  Larry was a proud, humble and loving man who enjoyed attending powwows, ricing, leeching, singing, gambling and spending time with his nieces and nephews.  However, nothing brought him more joy than his children and spending every day with his other half Amanda.

He is welcomed to the spirit world by his two infant children; Babies Hart, grandma; Alice Smith, paternal grandparents; Dorothy Hart and Melvin Rogers, uncles; Patrick Smith, Freddie and Roddy Stone, nieces; Roselynne Rayne Stewart and Ca’Liina Alexandra Hart, “Bros”; Lorin “Lo” Losh and Cory “Tha Kidd” Jones and many more family members.

Larry leaves behind his parents; Nancy and Lawrence Hart, Sr. of Cass Lake, his “Queen” Amanda Lussier, his children; Peyton Whitefeather, Alijah Hart, Lawrence “Baby Larry” Hart III and Amarhiana Hart, brothers; Alex “Lex”, Casey “C”and Jason “Baby” Hart, sisters; Jessica Morlan, Lorreena and Alisha Hart, his “Bros”; Beemus Goodsky, Royal Rock, Corey Drouillard, Theo Morrison, Marlon White, Corey Morrison, Will “Left Field” Reed, Rob “Ratchet” Lussier, Aaron Dick and many more, numerous aunties, uncles, nieces and nephews, others relatives and too many friends to mention.

A wake for Larry will begin at 3:00 p.m., Monday, June 3rd and continue until his 10:00 a.m. traditional services on Wednesday, June 5th all being held at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in Cass Lake, MN.  Waa-maajaa’iwed is Steve Jackson.  Pallbearers for Larry are Alex “Lex” Hart, Casey “C” Hart, Jason “Baby” Hart, Pat Haugen, Alfred Desjarlait, Tom Adams, Joseph Smith, Charlie Bobolink, Sr. and Royal Rock.  Alternate pallbearers are Jared Moore, Tim “Slim” Adams, Derek Gould and Nick “Slikk” Jones.  His honorary pallbearers are Amanda Lussier, Peyton Whitefeather, Lawrence “Baby Larry” Hart III, Alijah Hart, Amarhiana Hart, Jessica Morlan, Lorreena Hart, Alisha Hart, Marcena Hart-Cree, Da’Shawn Hvezda, Amadeo Pugsley, Cedric Pugsley, Chayton Campbell, Amariah Leigh Hart, Cory Enzo Hart, Ci Rina Hart, Nindaanis Rain Martineau, Kelsi Hart and his many friends.  Interment will be in the Windom Family Cemetery at Pennington, MN.
