Lori Lynn Sayers-McGregor

Lori Lynn Sayers-McGregor, age 46, of Red Lake, Minnesota began her journey on Saturday, January 11th, 2020 from the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.  She was born the daughter of Mary Mae (Jourdain) and Eugene Joseph Sayers, Jr. on May 20th, 1973 in Red Lake, MN.

Lori grew up and attended school in Red Lake.  She graduated from Red Lake High School in 1992.  Lori worked various jobs throughout her short life, before taking her most recent job at the Red Lake Fisheries.  Lori enjoyed listening to her music and playing cards with her friends.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her “honey” Robert, her kids and grandkids.  She left us too soon and we will miss her dearly.

Family that Lori is reunited with her parents, Mary and Eugene; brothers, Eugene Sayers III and Patrick Sayers; grandparents, Mary and Eugene Sayers, Sr.; special brother, Vernon Andrew May, Sr.; uncle, Donald May, Sr. and cousin, Donald May, Jr.

She leaves behind her husband, Robert McGregor of Red Lake; sons, Loren Stillday, Jr of Warroad and Brandon Sayers of Red Lake; daughters, Sherrell Stillday and Heather M. (Marcus) Stillday both of Red Lake; sisters, Ramona (Clarence) Sayers and Lisa (Earl) Sayers both of Red Lake; grandchildren, Eugenia, Eugene, Karter, Ka’Rena, Delwyn, Delilah, Paxton, Emelina and Jameson; aunties, Lorraine Sayers, Gloria Skinaway, Rita Weise and Kathy Johns; special mother-in-law, Avis LaDuke; special cousin, Misty (Bob) Smith; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

A wake for Lori will begin at 5:00 p.m., Friday, January 17th and continue until her 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Monday, January 20th all taking place at the Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake, MN.  Father Jerry Rogers will officiate.  Helping to lay Lori to rest are Christian Lussier, Reginald Lussier, Brandon Sayers, Phillip Sayers, Kenneth Skinaway and Marcus Fastwolf.  The alternate pallbearer will be Jacob May.  Her honorary pallbearers are Robert McGregor, Andrea LaDuke, Linda Perkins, Alvina Robinson, Cheri Leighanne LaDuke, Avis LaDuke, Heather M. Stillday, Sabrina McGregor, Skye King and all her grandbabies.  Interment will be at the Sayers Family Residence in Red Lake, MN following her Monday services.
