Margaret Louise (Cotant) Dewey

Margaret Louise (Cotant) Dewey, passed away at home at the age of 70 on Wednesday, September 19, 2018.

Margaret was born to George and Frances Cotant on November 27th, 1947 in Walker, Minnesota.  She attended and graduated from Laporte High School and attended Bemidji Technical College.  She married Ernest (Butch) Dewey on November 16th, 1968.  Margaret worked at Ah Gwah Ching until her retirement.

She is preceded in death by her parents; George and Frances Cotant, brothers; Harold and Dale Cotant, sister and brother in law; Mary and Bill Martin and a nephew; Ronnie Seegmiller.

Margaret is survived by her husband; Butch, two children; Kent and Patricia Dewey, two grandchildren; Aurora and Taija Dewey, two great grandchildren; Iziah Dewey-White and Azrielle Johnson, two brothers; Roy (Lori) Cotant and Bob Cotant, two sisters; Rodney and Pearl Sletten and Ginny Seegmiller, sister in law; Sue Marjamaa and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Northern Peace Funeral Home, 114 Tianna Drive, Walker, MN.  Inurnment will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Ripley, MN at a later date.
