Phillip Wade, Jr. Obituary

Phillip John Wade, Jr., age 22, “Miskondib” which means “Red Head”, of NaytahWaush, Minnesota journeyed to the spirit world on Thursday, March 22, 2018.  He was born on September 13, 1995 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Sonya (Bunker) and Phillip John Wade, Sr.

Phill was very funny, comical and was always the jokester.  He absolutely loved life and making everyone smile and laugh.  Phill’s energy always lit up the room, the natural energy he carries was loving and contagious.  He enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends and considered you a friend, even if he was meeting for the first time.  Phill was selfless and unassuming, he always helped anyone in need and never expected anything in return.  Phillip was very active in sports throughout school, especially boxing.  When he was a younger, he was a traditional dancer, traveling around with his family to competitions.  In spite of his short life, he left a lasting impression on everyone he met.  His smile, unique energy and laughter will be sadly missed.

Family who welcome Phil to the spirit world are grandma; Molly Bunker, great grandpa; Glen Bunker, great grandparents; Hartley and Lillian White, uncles; Arnold Wade, Kelly Bunker, Dickie Bunker and Richard Turpin, aunties; Marcie Fairbanks, Mussette Wade, Marika Anoka and Kathy Kier, several cousins and other relatives.

Those he leaves behind are his mom; Sonya (Winston Wadena) Wade of Naytahwaush, dad; Phillip Wade, Sr. of Bemidji, brothers; Cody (Brittney) Wade and Arnold Wade both of Breckenridge, sisters; Heather Wade of Naytahwaush, Haylee and Sadie Wade both of Breckenridge and Quinnie Bunker, grandmas; Donna White and Rose Alvarado, grandpa; Larry (Nadine) Wade, Jr., grandparents; Theresa (Jim) Loud, great grandma; Phyllis Bunker, special uncles; Preston White and Michael Todd Bunker, aunties; Laura (Dave) Chase and Donis (Pete Alvarado) Bunker, nephew; Cody “Poop Nugget” Wade, numerous cousins, family members and many friends.

An overnight wake for Phillip will begin at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 28th and continue until his traditional service at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 29th all being held at the Sports Complex in Naytahwaush, MN.  Michael Dahl will be his Spiritual Advisor.  Pallbearers for Phillip will be Dylan Chase, Dusty Chase, Cody Wade, Darrin Littlewolf, Patrick Porter, Emil Hanks, Dave Garcia and Tristen Bjerk.  His honorary pallbearers are Austin Wang, Evan Gunderson, Brady Wade, Larry “Shorty” Wade III, Joe Olsen, John Littlewolf, Alex Johnson, Autumn Oppergard, Justin Bjerk, Peter Alvarado, Andy Boswell, Dave Roy, T.J.
