My family was fortunate enough to live across the street from the Copa's for several years in a neighborhood that was simply one of a kind! A neighborhood where families helped each other and everyone knew everyone. I remember Ray as a gentle giant, in my younger years. A man so tall in stature yet so gentle and kind in his actions. When the Copa's moved out of our neighborhood,
I would look forward to seeing Ray at church on Sundays so I could get a hug. His hugs were heartfelt and comforting. We didn't usually talk much just just a quick embrace which said a thousand words on its own! As the years have gone on, our families grew apart in distance, but we were always still there for each other as needed! We only saw each other at an occasional wedding, funeral or graduation but each time I was sure to get my hug from Ray. I smile now as I picture Ray in Heaven giving both of my parents big hugs! I pray for the entire Copa family to find peace and comfort in the memories they have with their Dad/Husband/Grandpa. I know his gentle caring hug will live on in my heart forever!
Love and peace to the Copa's!

I didn't share a childhood, or hunt or raise children with Ray as others that sing his praises will undoubtedly do on this page, but rather began to build a tie that can never be broken only a few short years ago. I learned about his nature initially, through his wife and children, observing their deep devotion for one another, and therefore eagerly awaited to experience what it was that made them shine. I ventured off from Philadelphia to this beautiful state, and met a towering man with a smile as big as he was tall. Welcoming, caring, considerate, hard-working, interesting, spiritual, grounded, humble, faithful, and totally endearing, I began the journey toward understanding and loving the man. Today I share these few days with Karen (who was by my side when I lost my husband), Donn and Fabien, Tom and Molly, Tony and Vince, Jackie and Todd, Charlie, Will, Sam, Mary Grace, Lucy, Isabella, Christian, and Vivian, all of whom I know will always cherish and pass on this unwavering legacy of love that they witnessed in their years with Karen and Ray. So to all of you, I have been honored and blessed during this part of my journey, to share in your lives, and I truly hope the pain you hold in your hearts these days, will fade. Ray Copa has earned our tears, reaching the heights of a successful life! Az sie spotkamy ponownie. (Until we meet again)

My deepest sympathy to the entire extended Copa family. Ray was an example of providing a welcome and gentle spirit to those he encountered. And his great kids and grandkids are a fitting legacy for this good man.
