Renee Moses Obituary

Renee Lynn Moses, 56, passed away at North Memorial Hospital, Ribbinsdale, MN surrounded by her family on April 18, 2019. Renee was born March 28, 1963 in Grand Rapids, MN the daughter of William and Karen (Stangle) Tucker.

William Tucker married his love Karen Stangel on 11/24/62 and had two daughters. Renee grew up with her younger sister Julie in Bena Minnesota. She went to Cass Lake High School where she made lifelong friends. Upon graduation in 1981, Renee moved 5 hours away from home to begin her adult life in Minneapolis at age 18. She attended college where she studied to become a dental hygienist.

Renee met Jerry Moses while tubing down Apple River 4th of July weekend in 1981. Jerry and Renee got to know each other and fell madly deeply in love. After dating 3 and a half years, Jerry proposed at a park near their home in Columbia Heights. Renee happily said yes to her soulmate. The couple celebrated a long engagement. Renee married the love of her life on 12/9/1989 at Alliance Church in Bena.

In 1992 Renee and Jerry welcomed their daughter Christina into the world on December 23rd. Renee was a highly involved, caring mother. It came natural to her. Being a wife and mother brought her remarkable fulfilment and joy. Renee and Jerry had 29 and a half incredible years of marriage. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Renee loved being a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, friend, and woman of God. She was a source of light to everyone around her. She will always be remembered for her genuine personality, internal/external beauty, love of life, love for others, strength, and dedication to bettering the world through her acts of selflessness.

Those left to cherish Renee’s memory are her husband; Jerald Moses, daughter; Christina Moses, sisters; Julie Losh, Janelle Moses, and Jennifer Grant, brothers; David Moses, Curt Moses, James Moses, and Steven Mettler, nephews; Donald Losh, and Tayden Losh , uncles; Tony Stangel, Jerry Stangel, Lonnie Stangel, and Steve Stangel, aunts; Penny Stangel, Corrine Johnson, Maggie Mettler, and Norma “Bunny” Hanson, mother-in-law; Jeanne Larson, father-in-law; Larry Moses, step daughter; Sarah Khatib, 4 step grandchildren, and many close friends and family.

Renee was preceded in death by her parents; William and Karen Tucker, grandmothers; Sadie Stangel Noma Stangel, and Norma Tucker, grandfathers; Andrew Stangel, and Ross Tucker, great uncles; Oliver Stangel, Forest Stangel, Billy Stangel, Lures “Buddy” Stangel, Felix Stangel, Elwyn Stangel, Inez Stangel, great aunts; Yola Lane, Thelma Stangel, Marie Stangel, Jennie Stangel, and Jessie Stangel, brother; Tim Moses, and many beloved friends and family. 

A Visitation for Renee will begin at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2019 and continue until her 1:00 p.m., funeral service, all being held at the Bena Community Center, Bena, MN. Pastor Dee Hillstrom will officiate.  Pallbearers for Renee will be Tony S., Jerry S., Lonnie S., Steve S., Donald L., Leon D., Patrick M., Jon F., Bobby C., Lanny S., Larry M., Mick M., David M., Curt M., Steven M., James M., Jennifer G., Jenelle M., Tayden L., Chuck L., Roger S., Mathew G., Penny S., Debbie T., Genny C., Paula C., Roxi D., Ronnie D., Jeri S., Tillie R., Mari M., Randy M., Bernie A., Janet Z., Leslie M. Her honorary pallbearers are Tim M. (deceased), Sadie S (deceased)., Andrew S. (deceased), Noma S. (deceased), Yola S. (deceased), Oliver S. (deceased), and Todd F. (deceased).               .
