Roxanne Jean Erickson, age 65 of Benedict, MN passed away peacefully, December 27, 2017 at her home with her family by her side.  She was born on July 22, 1952 in Walker, the daughter of George, Sr. and Edythe (VanVickle) Johnson. 

Roxanne enjoyed being with family and friends, camping with her family, pontoon trips on the 4th of July and spending time with her grandchildren.  Roxanne was the only girl growing up the youngest of 10 children in her family.  Her family was very important to her and it showed in many ways.  Roxanne attended many sports activities for her grandchildren, loved sharing in Christmas time with her family, BBQ gatherings and game playing.  She was very proud of her boys and the daughter in-laws she had.  Roxanne will be sadly missed by her family, friends and others who knew her.

The family that Roxanne joins again are her parents; George and Edythe, and her four brothers; George, Jr., Donald, William and Clifford Johnson.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her husband; John Erickson of Benedict, sons; John (Susie) Erickson of Laporte, and William “Bill” (Amy) Erickson of Walker, brothers; Lynden (Alice) Johnson of Benedict, Robert (Darlene) Johnson of Benedict, Larry (Doris) Johnson of Walker, Richard (Eileen) Johnson of Benedict and Ronald (Paula) Johnson of Walker, grandchildren; Brittany, Shelby, Drew and Matia Erickson, one great grandson; John Erick Welu-Erickson, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

A celebration for Roxanne will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Walker with Pastor Mark Widman officiating.  Visitation will be held one half hour before the 1:00 service.  Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren; Brittany, Shelby, Drew and Matia Erickson.  Inurnment will be held later in the spring in the Lakeport Cemetery in Laporte, MN.
