Abinoojii Kingbird-Bushey

Abinoojii Kingbird-Bushey, 37 weeks gestation, was born asleep on July 21st, 2020 at the Sanford Hospital in Bemidji, Minnesota.  She was born to Cassandra Kingbird and Anthony Bushey, Jr.

Family that Abinoojii meets are her great grandmas, Barbara J. Fineday and Suzanne Bruce-Smith; great grandpas, James Fallsfeather and Walter Smith, Sr.; aunt, Lynda Morrison; great aunt, Sheryl Fineday-Hill; great uncles, Steven Bruce and John Fineday and great great uncle, Clinton Bruce, Jr.

She leaves behind her parents, Cassandra Kingbird and Anthony Bushey, Jr.; her sister, Arianna Johnson; brothers, Jerrin Wilson, Jr. and Jarvis Wilson and Kyri Smith; grandmas, Marilyn (Colin Rushman) Wind and Dyana (Mike Rice) Bruce; grandpas, Derek Kingbird, Sr. and Anthony (Marlys) Bushey, Sr.; auntie, Andrea Bushey; uncles, Derek (Amber Schaaf) Kingbird, Jr., David Kingbird, Charles Kingbird, Sr., Andrew (Mary Quinn), Andros and Andretti Bushey; great aunties, Dawn and Diane Fineday, Diane Kingbird and Julie Bruce, great uncle, Walter Smith, Jr., numerous cousins and extended family members.

A Traditional Native service for Abinoojii will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24th, 2020 at the Mission Community Center in Cass Lake, MN.  Music provided by the Northwind Drum Group.  Pallbearers for Abinoojii are Derek Kingbird, Jr., Jerrin Wilson, Jr., Andrew Bushey, Andros Bushey, Andretti Bushey and David Kingbird.  Her honorary pallbearers are all her relatives.  Interment will be in the Mission Burial Grounds at Cass Lake, MN.
