Angela Jean (Henke) Peck

Angela Jean Henke Peck, age 51, of Solway, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Birchview Gardens in Walker, MN, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Angela was born on September 5, 1973, in Brainerd, MN, to Allen and Barbara (Erickson) Henke. She grew up in a loving family. Angie spent her early years in Walker, Minnesota, and later the family moved to Forest Lake, where she graduated from Forest Lake High School before pursuing a degree in Elementary Education at Bemidji State University. Angie devoted more than 25 years of her life to teaching at St. Mary’s Mission School and Red Lake Elementary, where she poured her heart into every lesson and every child, she called her "kiddos." Teaching was not just her profession — it was her calling.

Angie married Kevin Peck on October 16, 1999, and together they made their first home in Puposky before settling in Solway. Together, they were blessed with their beloved daughter, Sadie, born in December 2007. As a family they created many wonderful memories together taking vacations, riding side by side with friends and family, and adventuring out to Itasca State Park. Angie’s love for her family was boundless, and Sadie was the light of her life — her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.

A lifelong Minnesotan, Angie was an enthusiastic fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins, faithfully cheering them on whether she was at a game or watching from home. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures — shopping, circle word puzzles, game shows, movie nights, family vacations, and reunions. Her laughter, warmth, and generosity touched many, and her friendships spanned every chapter of her life — from childhood, school and college days to her cherished teaching colleagues.

Angie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kevin Peck; her grandparents, Lloyd and Verna Henke, and William and Loretta Erickson and aunts, uncles, and cousin.

She is survived by her daughter, Sadie Peck of Solway; her parents, Allen and Barbara Henke of Walker; her siblings, Joyce (Randy) Sundberg of Foreston, MN, Theresa (Todd) Felix of Walker, MN, and Richard Henke of Lakefield, MN; along with many extended family members, dear friends, students, and colleagues who will carry her memory forward.

Angela’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family, students, friends, and community. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
