Anita Jo Jackson

Anita Jo Jackson, 43 years young, journeyed to the spirit world on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024, from Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. She was born on June 5th, 1981, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Rosetta Johnson and Faron Jackson.

Anita had a big heart, crazy sense of humor, and enjoyed doing her hair, makeup, and nails. She liked thrift shopping and going to rummage sales. Above all else, Anita loved spending time with her family, she loved them more than anything! Anita was always willing to help others with anything they needed. She liked to chat, play scratch-offs, go to the casino, or play casino games on her phone. Anita was a fan of ghost documentaries and horror stories. Anita will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those greeting Anita in the spirit world are her significant other, Michael “Mike” Jackson; brother, Jason Howard; grandparents, Lillian Webster and Harry Johnson, Elsie and Gerald Jackson, Sr.; nieces, Charlene Johnson and Angel Jackson; cousin, Elliot Johnson; uncles, Gerald “Tiny” Jackson, Jr. and Wolfgang Jackson.

Those Anita leaves behind to forever cherish her loving memory are her mother, Rosetta Johnson; step-father, Patrick Howard; father, Faron Jackson; sons, Dakota (Kristin) and Jaired Jackson; daughter, Talecia Jackson; sisters, Karen (Brian) Anoka, Jocelyn (Kenny) Jackson, Cassandra (Henry) Jackson; nieces, Naycionna, Camryn, Tamirah, Mia, Shaunice; nephews, Amare, James, Ronnie, Josh, Rodney, Amani, Kenneth III, Daedrius, Onyx, Jacek, Emery, Tristan; special friend; Diana May numerous other family members and friends.

An overnight wake for Anita will begin on Monday, July 15th, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. and continue until her funeral service on Tuesday, July 16th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., all to be held at the Onigum Community Center. Father William “Bill” Butcher will officiate. Those helping to lay Anita to rest are Dakota Jackson, Jaired Jackson, David Jourdain, Derek Hunt, James Elmberg, Jr., Amare Whitebird, Josh Jackson, and Rodney Headbird. Honorary pallbearers are DaVita Clinic Staff, and all of Anita’s Family and Friends. Interment will be in the Old Agency Cemetery in Onigum, MN.
