Arlen Carl Boll

Arlen Carl Boll passed away April 23, 2026 at the age of 85 years old. He is preceded in death by brother Lyle Boll, mother Clara Boll, father Ervin Boll, and his wife Carol (Brown) Boll. He is survived by his children Roger Boll (Julie), Jill Boll, Pamela Nesseth (Mark) and Jeff Boll. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Cheryl, Dustin, Derek, Jordan and Heather; and 5 great grandchildren: Rowan, Calvin, Pierson, Cameron and Elyse.

Arlen was born September 19, 1940, in Tyler, MN. He graduated from Tyler High School and married the love of his life, Carol Brown on December 30, 1959. He provided for his family as a semi-truck driver.  He went to school at Brown Institute to learn electronics. He then worked at Control Data for many years. He worked for the City of Minneapolis for a few years and then he bought his own tractor and drove semi again until he retired at 61 years old.

He enjoyed taking family vacations where they camped and fished. He liked deer hunting, snowmobiling and 4 wheeling. They bought lake property on Leech Lake and after retirement moved to Walker and made it their home. In 2022, he moved to Mounds View, MN to an assisted living facility. There he made new friends, enjoyed playing cards, going to Happy Hour, listening to live music and gardening. He loved having visitors, especially his great grandchildren. There was no lack of hugs when they were around!

He will be greatly missed by many.

Arlen’s Funeral Service will be at Hope Lutheran Church, Walker, MN on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with a one hour visitation before the service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Walker, MN following lunch. Pastor Matthew McWaters will officiate.
