Arlen James Stately, Jr.

Arlen James Stately, Jr., “Ozaawaanakwad” meaning “Yellow Cloud” age 51, of the Bear Clan and Red Lake, MN journeyed to the spirit world on Friday, June 23, 2023, from Fargo, ND. He was born October 28, 1971, in Red Lake, MN, the son of Camille (Beaulieu) and Arlen Stately, Sr.

Arlen grew up in Red Lake and liked being outdoors. He loved cars, motorcycles, and spending time with his kids. Arlen liked going to the casino, pow wows, and walks. He was an excellent cribbage player. He enjoyed listening to music and ricing. Arlen was always “checking in” with family and visiting. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Those greeting Arlen in the spirit world are his parents, Camille and Arlen, Sr.; sisters, Dawn Stately and Samantha Stately; brother, Richard Howard; grandparents, Frank and Leona Stately, Herbert and Mildred Beaulieu; uncles, Frank Stately, Sr., Paul, Doug and Darryl Beaulieu; aunts, Norma Beaulieu, DeMaris, Myrna, and Armella Stately; and numerous other family members.

Those Arlen leaves behind to forever cherish his memory are his sons, Orland Spears, Jordan Thompson, Jerome Winkler, Styles Stately, Dezmen Cook; daughters, Jessica Thompson, Christina Thompson, Arleighana Stately, Karleigha Stately, Taleigha Cook, Danayah Stately-Cook; brother, Brandon Stately; sisters, Lisa (Tex) Stately, Linda (Carl) Stately, Loni Sayers, Cherai Stately; aunt, Lavonne (Anthony) Infante; uncles, George (Jacqueline) Stately, Darrell Stately, Frank Beaulieu, and Steven Beaulieu; 6 grandchildren; and numerous family members and friends.

An overnight wake for Arlen will begin on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 2:00p.m. and continue until his Thursday, June 29, 2023, 9:00 a.m. service, all to be held at the Old Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake, MN. Arlen’s Spiritual Advisor is Adrian Liberty. Those helping to lay Arlen to rest are Corky Barrett, Greg Smith, Patrick Norquay, Dave Jones, Adrian Stately, Brandon Stately, Dylan Stately, and Dean Stately. Alternate will be Maengun Randberg. Honorary pallbearers are Gail Boswell, Shantel Brun, Kjell Thompson, Sherry Spears, Allie Cook, Karen Donnell, Sheila Erickson, Leslie Beaulieu, Whitey Anderson, Goodie Cloud, Sadonna Cloud, Darilyn Cloud and Amy Cook. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake, MN.
