Baby Nylea Kay Littlewolf, 16 weeks gestation, “Ginew Ikwe” (Golden Eagle Woman) of the Muckwa doodem (Bear Clan) from Duluth, Minnesota began her journey to the spirit world on Friday, February 16th, 2021 from St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. She was born to Dawn Littlewolf and Nicholas Berg.
When I found out I was pregnant, I didn’t wanna believe it, but I grew to love you. For some reason, we all knew you were a girl but were excited to find out. It didn’t take long to name you, because your name is as pretty as you.
Those waiting on the other side with loving arms are her grandparents; Judy and Richard Littlewolf, Sr., uncles; Richard Littlewolf, Jr. and Darian Fisherman, cousins, Saleena, Alexis and David Whitebird.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her parents; Dawn Littlewolf and Nicholas Berg of Duluth, sister; Paizlee Hammsmith, brothers; Justice, Jayden and Anthony Wright, Jr. and Leighton Berg, grandma; Leisa Berg, many aunties, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
An overnight wake for Nylea will begin at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 10th and continue until her 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, March 11th all being held at the Onigum Community Center in Onigum, MN. Father Matthew Cobb will officiate. Pallbearers for Nylea are Anthony Wright, Jr., Osmond Hunt-Fairbanks and Owen Hunt-Fairbanks. Her honorary pallbearers are Justice Wright, Jayden Wright, Anthony Wright, Jr., Leighton Berg, Paizlee Hammsmith and Hunter Whitebird. Interment will be in the St. John’s Episcopal Cemetery at Old Agency, MN following her Thursday service.
