Bernard Wilbur Eckman

Bernard Wilbur Eckman, age 67, passed away at his home in Bemidji, MN with his family at his side.  He left us on August 7th, 2020 of cancer.  He was born on September 10th, 1952 in Walker, MN to Betty Lou (Sperlen) and Wilbur Eckman.

Bernard loved fishing, hunting and his music.  He lived and loved life to the fullest.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  We will love and miss you forever.

From his mother he was given to us, from us to his mother he is returned…

He leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Barb (Platz) Eckman; his first wife, Julia Isaacs; eight children, Becky, Sheldon (Jamie), Taleen, Simone (Wallace), Kenny (Summer), Rose (Aaron), Joseph and Brandon; 24 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Bernard’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 5th, 2020 from 1-6 p.m. at the Akeley Beach Pavilion in Akeley, MN.
