Brandon Lee Jones

Brandon Lee Jones, age 37, “Miigwanens” meaning “Feather” of the Bear Clan and of Minneapolis, MN journeyed to the spirit world on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, in Minneapolis. He was born on August 13, 1986, in St. Cloud, MN, the son of Linette (King) and William Jones III.

Brandon enjoyed playing with his kids, nieces, and nephews. He was always joking around and teasing his siblings. Brandon enjoyed going for walks, bike rides, and pow wows. He liked to shop, he had to have top brand name nice clothes, had to be dressed to impress. He loved music and playing cards.

Those greeting Brandon in the spirit world are his dad, William Jones III; grandpas, William Jones, Jr. and Melvin King; brothers, Kevin Jones, Virgil Jones, Jared “Toby” Martin, and Peter White; and grandma, Margaret Dow.

Those Brandon leaves behind to forever cherish his memory are his mom, Linette (James) Smith; stepmom, Melanie Johnson; son, Brandon Jr.; daughters, Keyailah and Keyaunna Jones; brothers, Kyle Martin, William “Billy” Jones IV, Dylan King, and Skyler Smith; sisters, Brittany Stately, Morningstar Jones, Tiffany King, and Tessa (Gordon) Jones; and grandma, Lorraine (Chuck) King.

An overnight wake for Brandon will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024, and continue until his 11:00 a.m. traditional service, Saturday, January 20, 2024, all to be held at the Ponemah Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah, MN. Brandon’s Spiritual Advisor is Allen Hardy. Those helping to lay Brandon to rest are Caleb King, Skyler Smith, Dylan King, James Smith, Carl Fairbanks, Jr., and Chris Hurd. Honorary pallbearers are all Brandon’s Family. Interment will be in the Jones Family Burial Grounds in Ponemah, MN.
