Brian Lee Fairbanks began his journey to the spirit world from Cass Lake IHS on April 9, 2026. He was born on October 20, 1994, to Peter Cloud and Janice Fairbanks in Bemidji, MN.
Brian enjoyed being out in nature, he liked to go ricing, netting, being in the wood’s balsam picking, and getting birch poles.
He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was always up for playing video games with his brothers. Brian will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Those greeting Brian in the spirit world are his mom and dad; Janice Fairbanks and Peter Cloud, grandmas; Barbara Fairbanks and Monica Johnston, grandpa, Roy Beaulieu, sister; Rhonda Fairbanks, cousins; Joey Fairbanks and LeRas Rainey, and auntie; Penny Fairbanks.
Those left behind to cherish his memories are Felicia Cloud, his significant other, daughter; Danielle Fairbanks, brothers; Aaron Fairbanks, Andrew Fairbanks, Mish Cloud, and Winter Cloud, aunties; Linda Johnston, Anna Cloud, Crystal Cloud, Catrina Cloud, Cierra Cloud, Toni Wind, and Amanda Fairbanks and uncle; Johnathan Cloud.
A wake for Brian will be held on April 14, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and continue until his traditional service on April 15, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. all to be held at the Mission Community Center in Cass Lake, MN. Brian’s spiritual advisor will be Michael Needham. Those helping to lay Brian to rest are Steve Northbird, Brody Sayers, Carl Fairbanks, Sr., Carl Fairbanks, Jr., Doug Butcher, and Joe Fairbanks. Alternate pallbearers are Mish Cloud, and Winter Cloud. Honorary pallbearers are the those that knew and loved him. Brian will be laid to rest in May at the Sugar Bush Cemetery.
