Carl Edwin Carlson, Jr.

Carl Edwin Carlson, Jr., age 64, of Redby, MN journeyed to the spirit world on Wednesday, October 20th, 2021, in Warren, MN. Carl was born May 4th, 1957, in Red Lake, MN to Doris (Graves) and Carl Carlson, Sr.

Carl was the first bingo caller at the Old Red Lake Gaming. He enjoyed going to the casinos and watching his crime shows at home. Carl was a very outgoing guy and was always helping those in need. He was always busy, a go-getter, and a hard worker.

Those that Carl is reunited with in the spirit world are his parents, Doris and Carl Carlson, Sr., sisters, Cynthia Carlson and Rhonda Kingbird.

Carl is survived by his sons, Jonathan (Denise) Carlson of Watford City, ND, and Carl Carlson III of Duluth, MN; daughter, Cheryl Carlson of Duluth, MN; brother, Wayne Carlson of Redby, MN; sister, Mary Lou Carlson of St. Joseph, MN, and Pearl Carlson of Red Lake; niece, Ada Carlson of Redby, MN; nephew, Dayton (Alice) Carlson of Bemidji, MN; great niece, Cynthia Johnson of Bemidji, MN; and close cousin, George “Donnie” (Shelly) Spears, Jr.; and numerous other family and friends.

An overnight wake for Carl will begin Monday, October 25th, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the New Redby Center in Redby, MN and continue until his 2:00 p.m. service on Tuesday, October 26th, 2021 with Father George Ross officiating. Those helping to lay Carl to rest will be Dayton Carlson, Larry Dudley, Vincent Brown, Anthony Dow, John Sigana, and Jonathan Carlson. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Carl’s family, friends and co-workers from the Red Lake Trading Post and Terri Neadeau. Interment will be in St. Antipas Cemetery in Redby, MN.
