Chad Steven Zbasnik

Chad Steven Zbasnik, 50, of Walker, passed away on December 14, 2024. He was born on December 3,1974, in Virginia, MN, the son of Suzanne and Jeffrey.

Chad was a beloved partner, dad, son, brother, and friend who lived life with passion and heart. A devoted fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, Chad had a game-day tradition with their beloved dog, Mylo. Every Sunday during football season, Chad and Mylo would put on their Bengals jerseys and cheer for their team by throwing a miniature football after each touchdown, embodying the loyalty and excitement that defined his love for the team.

Chad’s other great passion was walleye fishing, where he found peace and fulfillment casting lines and spending time outdoors. Whether on the water or in the stands, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life, always surrounded by the things he loved most. Chad had an infectious laugh and a larger-than-life spirit that touched everyone he met. He was a loyal partner, a loving family member, and someone who never hesitated to lend a helping hand. His adventurous spirit will remain an inspiration to all who knew him.

Those Chad leaves behind to forever cherish his loving memory are his parents, Sue and Jeff; fiancé, Mandi Petzenhauser; son, Riley Zbasnik; daughters, Charlie Zbasnik and Kylee (Kyle) Medina; brother, Keith (Stacey) Zbasnik; niece, Chelsey (Dillon) Grossman; nephew, Hunter Zbasnik; great nephews, Max and James.

He was predeceased by his grandparents; and his aunts, Judy Bakara and Wanda Summar.

In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the family are preferred. Chad will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his legacy of joy, laughter, and love will live on forever.

Chad's Party will begin at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 4th, 2025, at The Woodshed 330 1st Ave NW Laporte, MN. In honor of his memory, the family encourages attendees to wear Cinci Bengals colors to reflect Chad’s vibrant passions.
