Cherlene Gail Jenkins

Cherlene Gail Jenkins, 63 of Cass Lake MN, began her journey to the spirt world on Friday, September 15, 2023. Cherlene was born August 22, 1960, to Naomi “Leona” and Joseph “Junior” Fineday, Jr. in Red Lake, Minnesota.

Cherlene enjoyed playing volleyball, softball, and horseshoes.  She enjoyed cooking for the family, also sneaking in ingredients that some didn’t like. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She would spend time with the girls one day and the boys the next.  She especially enjoyed going rummaging with the “wild one” Kaidance Fourstar. Cherlene loved to go the casino and play keno with her husband, Raymond Jenkins Sr.

Family Cherlene is reunited with are her husband, Raymond Jenkins, Sr.; parents, Joseph and Leona Fineday, son Raymond (B-Ray) Jenkins Jr, sister Sharon Fineday-Smith, brothers, Duane Fineday Sr., and Burton Fineday, along with numerous aunts and uncles.

Those she leaves behind to forever cherish her memories are her daughter, Shauna (Matt) Fourstar; brother, Robert (Tina) Roybal; sister, Lorna (Al) Roybal-Kiehne; grandchildren, Naomi, Arden, Kaidance Fourstar, Ameera, Anishtah, Rashawn Jenkins, Raelyn Jenkins, Creed Jenkins, Ayianna Jenkins, and Julius Huesers; mother-in-law, Susan Jenkins.

An overnight wake for Cherlene will begin on September 20, 2023, at 7 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial building in Cass Lake, Minnesota and continue until 1 p.m. on September 21, 2023, when her service will begin, with clergy, Jeff Oakgrove. Those helping to lay Cherlene to rest are Mitch Kiehne, Marvin Staples Jr., Matt Fourstar, Duane Fineday Jr., Mikey Burris, and Deion Burris.  Alternate pallbearers will be Devin Butcher and Robert Butcher.  Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Ameera Jenkins, Anishtah Jenkins, Ayianna Jenkins, Raelyn Jenkins, Naomi Fourstar, Kaidance Fourstar, Raymond Jenkins III, Rashawn Jenkins, Robert Roybal, Lorna Roybal-Kiehne, Tina Roybal, and Al Kiehne. Interment will be at the Fineday Family Cemetery in Pennington, MN following the service.
