Cheryl Dunn-Donovan Obituary

Cheryl Anne Dunn-Donovan, “Niizho Gaabo Ikwe” meaning “Two Standing Woman” age 54, of Cass Lake, Minnesota and the Awaazisii Indoodem, which means Bullhead Clan, started her spiritual journey on Friday, September 10th, 2021, from her home on Oak Point. She was born on December 19th, 1966, in Cass Lake, MN the daughter of Josephine and Richard Dunn.

Cheryl married the love of her life, Rowa Donovan on December 9th, 2009. She had four wonderful children, Shane, Eldon, Raeanne and Jacalyn.

Cheryl’s wisdom, humor, guidance and being the matriarch of the family. She loved her grandbabies and her children. Although she loved shopping and getting materialistic things, she always valued quality time with her family more. She loved to bead, make fry bread, and dance, and to watch her dance would make your heart soar. She was crowned a Leech Lake Princess. She loved to go to Pow-Wows and make regalia for the kids. She loved all things related to the Pow-Wow. Cheryl loved to color in the books with designs, she loved old cars, riding the Harley, going on road trips, gearing up and hitting the wind. Cheryl loved eagles and looking for feathers.Cheryl loved many things, however, helping was her specialty, she had a heart of gold. No matter who it was, she was always helping. There will never be a person so kind and giving as Cheryl, the world lost a very special woman, and now she soars with Eagles. When she had the time, she loved listening to music and journaling. Or to be out in the woods searching for supplies for her various projects. Whether it be trying to make dream catchers or simply picking sage. Rock hunting was one of her favorite things, walking alongside the road picking up whatever caught her eye and adding it to her collection. She was always on the go, a very busy woman. She could never sit down and relax; she would always be digging around for something. Sleeping or napping was always something she loved doing. Every time you saw her, she would dig around for something to show you, something new every time!
