Clarence Staples

Clarence “Koosh” Staples, age 52, of Cass Lake, Minnesota graced this earth from November 5th, 1968 to March 24th, 2021.  He was the son of Cecelia (Staples) and Clarence Drouillard.

Koosh was born in Bemidji, MN and grew up in the Bemidji/Mission area until he moved into his own apartment in Cass Lake, where he lived the rest of his life.  He enjoyed walking and riding his bike, especially to go see his brothers John and Julio during his nightly routine.  Koosh became a father in 1988 to Natasha Marie Fineday who has blessed him with four beautiful grandchildren, who he absolutely adored.  He was passionate about his family and spent his free time with his nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Koosh was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan, liked watching T.V. and was always there to help others out whenever he could. 

Family that Koosh is reunited with are his mother; Cecelia “Bone”, father; Clarence, sisters; Linda “Sis” Staples, Louella “Anna” and Barbara “Punkin” Drouillard, niece; Jessica, and special great niece; Emily “Em” Morris and other relatives.

He leaves behind his only child; Natasha Fineday, grandchildren; Amador Jr., Julian, Jorge and Adrian Ocampo, siblings; Beverly Schoenborn, Douglas DeFoe, Andrea Tauaa, Michael “Julio” Staples, Kenneth “John” Staples, Sr., Dennis (Margaret) Staples, Sr., Denise (Victor) Staples, Darryl (Claudette) Drouillard, Sr. and Burnham (Ramanda) Drouillard, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Wake services for Koosh will begin at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, March 27th and continue until his 11:00 a.m. funeral services on Monday, March 29th all to be held at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in Cass Lake, MN.  Helping to lay Koosh to rest are Kenneth Conger, Randy Drouillard, McKenzie Swanholm, Cory Drouillard, Richie Budreau, Nicolas Budreau, Jerret Wind, Jacob Morris and Kenneth “Nunu” Staples, Jr.  His honorary pallbearers are Elizabeth “Liz” Morris, Shana Drouillard, Jasmine Drouillard, Vanessa Budreau, Chey Chey Budreau, Jamie Lee Staples, Aleigha Fineday, Dennis Staples, Jr., Ryan Staples, Lil Nunu III, Anthony Swanholm, Franny Thompson, David Drouillard, Darryl Drouillard, Jr., Gordon Jackson, Dominic Jackson, Dedric Jackson, Amador Ocampo, Devin Fineday, Donavin Fineday, Connie White, Emma Staples, Adrian Staples, Ashley Brown, Koda White, Sammy White, Daniel Drouillard, Seraya Drouillard, Lakeshia Drouillard, Taneisha Drouillard, Serena Morris, Joe Wind and “Baby Mama, the one and only Dawn Fineday”.  Interment will be in the Fairbanks Cemetery at Cass Lake, MN following his Monday service.
