Cynthia "Star" Morningstar Taylor

Cynthia “Star” Morningstar Taylor, age 47, of The Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe, left this Earthly realm on Saturday, November 12, 2022. She was born on September 14, 1975, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Elaine Taylor and Harold R. White, Jr.

Star loved cooking, beading, animals, playing cards, going to comedy shows, thrifting, and spending time with family and friends. Above all else she loved her five children.

Star was an incredibly strong woman and her children are deeply comforted by the fact that she is now with the Creator and will rest in peace and light.

Star was an incredibly compassionate spirit. She was the type of woman to always invite someone into her home and offer them a meal, a place to lay their head, and even the shirt off her back. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her

Those left behind to cherish Star’s memory are her five beloved children, Elayna Taylor, Erykah Taylor-Moore, Eiliyahh Taylor, Evan Arndt, and Essense Batson; along with her brothers, Ben, Mike, Anthony, Daniel, Harold, Jeffrey; her sisters, Nancy, Tahnee, Marla; close cousins, Marcy and Jennie Taylor; and many other family members and friends

An overnight wake for Star will begin on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. and continue until her 1:00 p.m. service on Sunday, November 27, 2022. Star’s Spiritual Advisor will be Nathaniel Taylor. Star’s final resting place will be with her children.
