Dallas Terese Sargent, Niizho Migizi ikwe, which means Eagle Woman, of the Turtle Clan, age 61, of Cass Lake, MN began her spiritual journey on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Cass Lake IHS. She was born on August 16, 1964, in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Mervel and Delores (Leith) Sargent.
Dallas grew up in Minneapolis and later moved to Cass Lake. She enjoyed fancy dancing, going to pow-wows, going to the casino and being in the outdoors. Dallas was very involved with her Native American Culture and traditional activities. The thing she cherished the most in this life was spending time with her grandchildren.
The family that Dallas joins again are her parents; Mervel and Delores, and her aunts; Maxine Brown, Margaret Monroe, Sandra Chase, and Nancy Fairbanks.
Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her daughters; Karla Roberts, Sara Harrison, Lydia Sargent and Halle Harrison, one son; Jimmie Harrison, sisters; Laurie Sargent, and Wally Rea-Sargent, numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A wake for Dallas will begin at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2025, and will continue until the 11:00 a.m. service on Sunday, November 9, 2025, all held at the White Earth Family Center in Cass Lake. Barbara Fairbanks will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Faye Headbird, Ken Smith, Alane Roy, Twila Morris, Mike Roy, all her children and grandchildren. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
