Danial "Dan" Thomas Jones

Danial “Dan” Thomas Jones, age 43, of the Turtle Clan and Bemidji, MN, unexpectedly journeyed to the spirit world on Friday, June 7th, 2024. He was born on January 6th, 1981, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Carol Jones and Terrance DeMarr.

Dan was a fun, caring, and loving brother and friend. He was always cracking jokes and making everyone laugh. He enjoyed hanging out with friends and visiting family, especially his nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. Dan could always be found in the casino. He loved watching Rap Battles. Dan recently started working at the A&W in Bemidji, and really enjoyed it there. He was a good friend to all who got to know him. Dan was one of a kind. He will forever be loved and missed.

Those greeting Dan in the spirit world are his mom, Carol Jones; nephew, Benjamin Camacho; and grandparents, Mervel Jones, Rose LaRose, Elizabeth Cooper, Lawrence DeMarr, Warren Tibbetts, and Celeste Fisher.

Those Dan leaves behind to forever cherish his memory are his dad, Terrance “Terry” (Anita) DeMarr; brothers, Terrance Jones, Sr. and Bradley Larsen; sisters, Erika Paquette, Rose Jones, Missie Camacho, Celeste (Joshua) Larsen, Crystal Jones, Elizabeth Jones, Rikki Larsen, and Diana (Jennifer) Ostaba; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

A two-night wake for Dan will begin on Thursday, June 13th, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. and continue until his traditional service on Saturday, June 15th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., all to be held at the Mission Community Center in Mission, MN. Dan’s Spiritual Advisor is Allen Hardy. Those helping to lay Dan to rest are Noel Cortez, Terrance Jones, Jr., Raven Matthews, Robert Kingbird, Peter Phonsyea, and Philipe Camacho. Honorary pallbearers are Karla Thompson and all of Dan’s Family and Friends.
