Daniel Roman Evans

Daniel Roman Evans, lovingly known as Butch or Danny, passed away on February 19, 2026, at the age of 81. He was born on December 19, 1944, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, to Otis and Anna Evans.

Danny grew up in the Redwood Falls and Wanda area, where he was raised on a family farm alongside his 12 siblings. His childhood was filled with memories of farm life and endless adventures with cousins and many cherished summers in Montana. Stories he loved to share throughout his life.

After graduating high school, Danny proudly served his country in the United States Army, spending his service years stationed in Germany. Following his return home, he built a life grounded in hard work, unwavering loyalty, and love for family.

Danny was a man of many talents and passions. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, making countless trips to Canada in search of the best catches and stories to bring home. He was also known for his massive vegetable gardens—so abundant he could have fed a village. With a strong work ethic and incredible skill, Danny ran his own construction company, taking tremendous pride in every project he completed.

He loved playing cards, spending time outdoors, gathering with family, and enjoying the simple moments that meant the most.

Danny was preceded in death by his wife Linda, his parents Otis and Anna, and siblings Tommy, Guy, and Melanie.

He is survived by siblings: Denise, Damian, Andrea, Margot, Kevin, Janet, Ruth Ann, Judy, and Ann. He is survived by his children: Curtis (Lott), Carrie Ann, Kimberly (Russ), Conrad (Brooke), and Christy (Andy). He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Megan, James, Josh, Jordan, Jeremie, Anna, Amber, Maddyx, Parker, and Krew, as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who loved him dearly.

Danny lived a life full of purpose, kindness, grit, and generosity. His laughter, stories, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
