Daniel "Danny" Duane Goodman, Sr.

 Daniel “Danny” Duane Goodman, Sr. “Migizi innini” “Eagle Man”, 62, of Cass Lake, Minnesota started his journey on February 23, 2024.

Danny was born July 26th, 1961, in Park Rapids, Minnesota to John and Diane Goodman. He spent his young childhood in Ponsford and holds many memories from his time playing and exploring outside and visiting with family. Shortly after, Danny moved to South Minneapolis where he was raised in a beautiful home with his brothers and sisters. He spent his time visiting family and friends and collecting players cards at the casinos. Danny also enjoyed spending time outside, throwing knives and working on cars and projects for family and friends.  He did all kinds of contracting work in life and was proud of his craft. Later in life Danny moved back up north and took pride in living as a free spirit and enjoyed watching his grandson Liam grow with Debbie. He was a storyteller, and there wasn’t anything you couldn’t talk to him about. He enjoyed a good laugh and a trip down memory lane reminiscing to honor those in life he loved and lost. 

Those who welcome Danny into the spirit world is his parents John Goodman Sr., and Diane Goodman; his sisters, Terri Lynn Goodman, Cheryl “Sherri” Louise Goodman; brother John “Bo” Goodman many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and beloved cousins and friends. 

Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory are his partner in life, Debbie Smith. Sons; Brad (Shana) Goodman, Daniel Goodman, Anthony Villebrun. Daughters; Rita (Josh) Goodman, Terri Goodman, Sherri Goodman, Danielle Goodman. He also had a close relationship with Debras children; Melissa Smith and David Staples Jr. Grandkids; Latisia, Mikeal, Ariana, Mariah, River, Liam, Winter, Talia, Tonia, Anthony Jr., and Maximus. Those who also called him grandpa; Jayedin, Dez’Riel, Dezlyn, and Deziare.

A memorial service will be held to honor Danny’s life and memory at 12:00 p.m. on March 23, 2024, to be held at the Prescott Community Center 14148 68th Ave N.W Cass Lake, MN.  Danny’s officiants will be Mike Swan and Father Bill Butcher.
