Darin Keith Yellow

Darin “Cubby” Keith Yellow, age 46, of Red Lake, Minnesota began his journey home on June 24th, 2018 at the Redeemer Recovery Nursing Home in Minneapolis, MN.

Darin was born on April 15th, 1972 to Marvin Clarence Yellow, Sr. and Geraldine Margaret Richey of Red Lake.  Darin attended St. Mary’s Mission School and Red Lake Senior High where he graduated in 1990.  Darin moved to the cities in 1994 and lived there for the past 24 years.  Darin worked as a security guard at Menards for a couple of years and then worked at KFC.  Darin also worked for Mary Jo’s at Sharing and Caring Hands in Minneapolis until an injury that put him into medical retirement.  Darin had many talents, including playing his guitar, spoons, and singing.  He had a love for music.  A few of his favorite artists were Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams, Jr and Elvis Presley.  Darin was a very spiritual man who loved his Lord.  He was a kind-hearted man who touched the lives of many.  He will be greatly missed by everyone.

Family that Darin is reunited with are his parents; Marvin Yellow, Sr. and Geraldine Richey Yellow-Bombay, sister; Theresa A. McGraw, three nephews, grandparents; George and Anna Richey and aunt and uncle; Elaine Jourdain and Richard Richey.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his siblings; Marvin Yellow, Jr., Donald Yellow, Marian Yellow, Melvin Louis and Susan (Floyd) Iceman, numerous nieces and nephews, and many other family and friends.

A wake for Darin will begin at 5:00p.m., Wednesday, June 27th and continue until his 1:00 p.m. funeral service on Friday, June 29th all being held at the New Little Rock Community Center in Red Lake, MN.  Father Jerry Rogers will officiate.  Pallbearers for Darin are Marvin C. Yellow, Jr., Douglas J. Yellow, Floyd Iceman, Clarence B. Yellow, Clem May and Kelly Graves.  His honorary pallbearers are Melvin Louis Yellow, Donald Wayne Yellow, Michael Stinson, Gabriel Stinson, Shelly Stinson, Rachael Stinson, Danielle Stinson, Kevin Cook, Richard Cook, Marvin Greene, Al Parkhurst, Mario Severiny, his friends from Sharing and Caring Hands, Simpsons Emergency Shelter and the Redeemer Recovery Center, and all his nieces and nephews.  Interment will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery at Red lake, MN following his services on Friday.
