David Walter Cowfer

David Walter Cowfer, age 69, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 7th, 2024, at home surrounded by his wife and son. David was born on June 24th, 1954, at the United States Naval Hospital in Great Lakes, Illinois, to Walter and Ellen Cowfer.

David worked as a Community Assistant Consultant for the State of Florida. His primary role was to investigate hurricane damage to manufactured homes. He retired after 18 years to stay at home and raise his 2-year-old son, who he home schooled into the 8th grade. David taught his son how to fish at the early age of 18 months old. You would often find the two of them on the lake with lines in the water.

Davis is survived by his wife of 40 years, Shelly; and their 16-year-old son, Dawson.
